Ernst Schwadron Boucle Lounge Chair

This boucle lounge chair designed by Ernst Schwadron and reupholstered by the Somerset House is indicative of the restrained Viennese modernist style typically seen in Austria during the 1930s. Schwadron’s interior designs, furniture and lamps were highly regarded in Austria but were not received as strongly in the US until his passing in the 70s.
