Edward Wormley was an American designer renowned for his work in mid-century modern furniture design. Born on December 31, 1907, in Oswego, Illinois, he studied briefly at the Art Institute of Chicago before the Great Depression forced him to leave school and start working. In 1931, Wormley joined the Dunbar Furniture Company in Indiana, where he would spend most of his career.
