These distinctive mounted Tuareg “Igem” Posts belonged to the fascinating Tuareg Tribe who were a nomadic people on constant move across the southern Sahara. They created objects that were naturally beautiful, abstract in design as well as greatly functional. These Posts were usually used in pairs and erected to mark the openings and location of the individual families tents. Each post is unique to their own hand carved design.
